Hands-On Harvest

We’ve partnered with Duskie Estes, star Chef and Executive Director of Farm to Pantry, to offer a unique opportunity for our guests to experience a real hands-on harvest. Farm to Pantry is a local organization that mobilizes volunteers to harvest excess produce from partner farms to provide fresh food to community members in need. Our hotel guests have the opportunity to volunteer as a "gleaner" to harvest in the fields. Or you can learn more about our enhanced group offerings -- like an exclusive cooking class and lunch prepared by Duskie on her farm for up to 10 guests -- with 75% of proceeds going to support Farm to Pantry.
Gleaning with Farm to Pantry means about 3 hours on a farm or in a backyard from around 9 AM-Noon-ish with the possibility of driving to partner organizations afterward to see where it all goes.
